[How to] Install The Nvidia Linux Driver 295.53 On Ubuntu 12.04/11.10

Latest driver has added support for the following GPUs:

GeForce GTX 670
GeForce 605
GeForce GT 610
GeForce GT 630
GeForce GT 640
GeForce GT 645

Driver Installation

Open the terminal and run following command:

root@RedXMota:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nvidia

root@RedXMota:~$ sudo apt-get update

root@RedXMota:~$ sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

Restart your computer to finish the installation.

You can verify your current Nvidia driver version by opening Nvidia X Server Settingsfrom the Unity Dash.
